Cooking with Wyatt

Last weekend (Labor Day Weekend) we had a great time at home! No major plans - well  Jon built a deck but we were home. I decided to make some Oatmeal Butterscotch cookies.  Wyatt was in the house with me, because even though the weather was nice there were too many of Daddy's tools outside to get into trouble with.  So Wyatt helped Mommy make cookies!

Wyatt was very helpful dumping the ingredients into the bowl. He would repeat each item as we would dump. It's amazing how well he can say "cinnamon".

He did have a confused look on his face when we put the dough in the oven - and took out cookies from the oven.  It was like magic in his mind.

He then enjoyed playing with measuring cups and spoons in the sink. While it occupied him for a long time - there was a lot of water everywhere. But it's just water.

Once the cookies cooled down he was ready to try one. Wyatt gave his stamp of approval.

In this picture you can see how wet his shirt got while he was playing in the sink.

Here is Jon outside slaving away on the deck. We did give him several cookies as well. (finished pictures of deck hopefully coming soon- we are close)

And just because we get the most amazing sunset views - here are a few from the other night. It was just a amazing.

The colors were incredible.
